Hi, I'm Chelsea Davison, a writer/performer based in LA.
I was recently the Supervising Producer on Seth MacFarlane's Ted TV Show, and before that I was the Head Writer of NBC's A Little Late with Lilly Singh. Previously I wrote on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, @midnight with Chris Hardwick, The Opposition with Jordan Klepper, Lights Out with David Spade, Seth MacFarlane’s At Home Variety Show, The Film Independent Spirit Awards, and many more.
As a performer, I was a main cast member on the reboot of MADtv and I've been featured on Comedy Central, NBC, and Just for Laughs in Montreal. I've also had solo shows at the UCB Theater and performed with Amy Poehler at Glamour Magazine’s event, “These Girls" in New York.
I grew up in small-town Ohio, the youngest of five kids and the only one who was an accidental love child from my dad and his mistress... which forced me to get a sense of humor from an early age. I moved to New York for college and immersed myself in the comedy scene. Eventually I broke into the TV world, moved to Los Angeles, and earned the nickname "the Peggy Olson of dick jokes." I love hard-hitting punchlines, but also telling character-driven stories about complicated, funny people.
